Topgolf Scottsdale

I recently visited Topgolf in Scottsdale for the first time. My boss paid for a group outing as a team-building exercise. Food was provided, including fajita ingredients in warmers with beans and rice, with tortillas so that we could prepare our own plates. There was also chips with salsa and guacamole. The food was decent but not excellent. The driving range was fun. Each ball that is hit gets tracked, probably by a RFID chip, and the trajectory, speed, hang time and distance are displayed to each player. Scores are automatically tabulated. Everyone seemed to have a good time and I would be willing to try it again sometime. Part of signing in to use the driving range is to enter player information which also asks for an email address and phone number. After entering my email address, I deselected the check boxes to avoid receiving promotional offers and other types of spam. Having deselected these boxes, I was disappointed to receive spam from Topgolf about a week after my visit. Minus one star for that. Otherwise they’d get 5 stars.
