Reviews
So yeah, Glow Golf looks kinda cool and seems interesting at first, but it’s definitely not much more than a novelty. Don’t get me wrong, the undersea murals in glow paint are cool and from some angles it feels like you’re a character in Tron, but when it all boils down to paying almost $50 for your medium-sized family to play, it really isn’t worth it. To start, the actual golf is a joke. I mean, take away the decor and you basically have carpet and painted 4x4’s stacked end to end. There’s absolutely nothing interesting nor challenging about it. All the holes are basically the same rectangles with a few variations. And then black lights. I mean, they’re cool in small doses, but spend an hour seeing only black lights and glowing colors and enjoy the headache. The staff is laughable. I mean, they’re teenagers who never had a job before and probably have a headache from kids and blacklights, so I give them a bit of a break. But they seriously don’t care. With the exception of breaking a club and stabbing someone with it, I wouldn’t count on any reaction from them. Finally, other customers. Guess who plays Glow Golf (other than idiots like me)? Kids whose parents are shopping in the mall! Meaning, they just get dropped off and run around. And as the aforementioned disengaged staff are concerned, people basically just do whatever they want. Anyway, Colorado Springs is such a nice sunny place with actual decent OUTDOOR mini golfs. So, why settle for less?
We were looking for an indoor activity on a cold snowy day. This was the perfect fit! First time to play Glowgolf for me. Basically an indoor mini golf with strange lighting. (Makes your golf ball glow and certain colors really stand out, and turns everything a strange color.) The gentleman that checked us in carefully, explained the rules, etc. Looking forward to going again sometime.
