This is a great place to play on the big island and should not be missed. The fairways were immaculate condition and the greens ran true. We only had a chance to play the south course, but I have every intention of playing the North as well. When you get to the ocean holes, you absolutely have to save a couple of minutes to take your picture. I’m from Bandon Oregon and know a little bit about great golf. This is an amazing golf course with better weather than Bandon.
I’ve seen and played lots of nice courses. This might top them all. I played both the North and the South a couple days apart. It is expensive but worth it. Its hard to pick what course I’d recommend. If you are a low handicap/golf enthusiast and want a good challenge, play the north. The south has the infamous hole 15, so if you can only play one round and want the wow views and pictures then play the south. Both courses are good from start to finish. It’ll be hard to find a public course that can rival this on the big island. Pace of play was phenomenal. Great pro shop too. Expect resort prices. Overall, I’d play again and again if i could! It’s a bucket list type of course in my opinion. Play it, you won’t regret it.
