The course is perfect for beginners with no sand traps, water hazards and no roughs... That being said the staff will drive new golfers away from the sport. I've been golfing since I was a kid and I wanted to introduce my wife to the sport and after a few times at the range I wanted to take her to play a round. I usually walk but since it was a Saturday morning I rented a cart so that we wouldn't slow anyone down and we allowed people to play through because how would a new golfer know if they are getting better over time if you constantly pick up your ball and move on to the next hole. The staff here is not very beginner friendly at the pro shop and on the course. We still finished 9 holes in under 2 hrs and one of the staff members were asking us to speed it up and was watching us play like he was the golf police. Courses like this are harmful to the sport. This course is more suited for seniors then beginners. We won't be back. Also the greens don't roll true so it's also hard for beginners to practice their putting. I don't know when golfing became a race.

Always had a good experience at this course but this summer for some reason the “manager” has ruined it for me. He doesn’t make you feel welcome at all and has an attitude that makes you feel like you need to leave. As I was about to pay, there were people who were regulars in front of me and he gave them free carts because he knew them. All summer he closes the course whenever he wants to go home. One day recently I showed up at 5:45 and he said he wasn’t doing carts anymore and I had to walk and had to be in by 7:30 and had a complete attitude about it that made me uncomfortable. When the sign in the door clearly said carts in by 9 and it happened again twice since. He has completely ruined this course for me and I will not be returning and am also not be renewing my yearly pass at purple sage next year due to the experience at this course.
