We stayed at this resort in December with the goal of enjoying the beautiful Christmas lights from our room. With that end, we had booked a Lake Tower Lake View King at the (expensive) rate of over $600 per night (excluding tax). Upon check-in, we went to our room and – to our surprise – the room type they had given us was not the Lake View King we had booked; as a result, we were unable to enjoy the lights display from our room, which was the main reason we had chosen The Coeur d'Alene Resort. Even more disappointing was the fact that at no point during check-in were we notified that our assigned room did not correspond to the one we had booked. Only after going to the front desk to inquire did they tell us that the room type we had booked was not available. As compensation, we were given a $100 credit. Given that we had specifically chosen this resort so that we could enjoy the Christmas lights from our room, we felt that a $100 credit – while better than nothing – was completely insufficient. In truth, we would never have stayed at this resort had a Lake View room not been available (or we would have chosen any other date to visit). Further, had we not complained about the room mismatch, we would never have received any credit. At a minimum, they should have proactively mentioned this upon check-in.
Recently spent another amazing weekend at the Resort. My stay was 5 star as usual. My flight arrived early and the front desk staff was so accommodating on getting my room ready. I wanted to give a special thanks to Cessna at the front desk who helped me. She was very attentive and made sure I felt like a valued customer. She arranged for my room to be ready early and also helped book a dinner and spa package that I was unaware of. The staff at Beverly's was also fantastic in accommodating my requests. Thx for another fantastic stay. Can't wait to return!
