I was born and raised in Springfield and still live here. I love Springfield and I've been to Knights Action Park many times in my life. As an adult I've realized how crappy this place is. My boyfriend and I got a season pass the last couple years but there is quite literally nothing to do, and the place always feels run down and dirty. The bathrooms and changing rooms are gross. The locker area is always filthy. Food and drinks are overpriced. And a lot of the water fixtures (like the fountains and fun aspects of the lazy river) were turned off or not working about 75% of the time. Not to mention the rude way the owner talks to and about his customers and staff (as a teacher, I'm still angry about the comments made towards teachers). As a local who used to love this place it's just disappointing to me now. It needs a new business model and a major revamp to make it worth it.
Knight's Action Park is a gem! Our kids (2, 4, 6 & 8) all had a wonderful time. We bounced around from section to section and tried out each water slide and attraction. It wasn't until later in the day that we even realized there was a big wave pool! After drying off, we closed out our experience on the go-carts, which were fun :) Highly recommend reserving a day of vacation to this place!
