Great Wolf Lodge Water Park | Traverse City

We have loved this place and have gone every year for five years now. Sadly we will not be returning. The carpet was all stained in the room. Hair all over the bathtub. Trash under the couch. No mattress covers on the beds. The waterpark was decent and the kids did have fun. Food and drinks way overpriced for what you get. We got a surprise charge after check out for two things. Parking which I was not told about and I don't understand why they charged us for three days of parking when we only stayed two nights. A 65.00 charge for pool towels billed to us yet we scanned our wrist bans and returned them every time. The attendant even told us we were all set each time. Most of the crafts were either a piece of paper to make origami or coloring with very broken crayons. The little ones cannot even enjoy the arcade because it is so over priced. I went down to the desk to ask what my total charges for incidentals was and they gave me a hard time about it. I get we get the 100 per night authorizations but upon checkout we should be told what our total charges were..they finally printed one out for me and acted quite annoyed. The people that ran the story time and dance party were great but this place has became such a scam. Like you charge a resort fee so why are you charging a parking fee on top of it. You state it's for extra security but there was no security and the parking lot was barely plowed. The hotel really does need some updates. Be more upfront about fees. Stop charging people for towels when we actually did return them. I probably will not be returning.
