I very much appreciate the resort offering year after year their stay and play Group Golfer dot com package. We have on many occasions availed ourselves of the opportunity to visit this resort for golf. The Rock golf course is very playable with fairways on average generous. The tee boxes lend themselves to low scoring if you don't play back further than your drive distance plus mid-irons suggest. Food at Pins was quick, high quality, and relatively affordable. The lodge accommodations are nicely appointed in hand made board and log styles, and clean. Service could use some work.
Beautiful location, the facilities are being updated and they’re on a skeleton crew. But our first night it was very cold and windy outside, and not much warmer inside. Our heater barely put out any heat and the blankets weren’t very thick. The toilet arm and plunger broke, there was a landline phone in the room, but it wasn’t connected to anything. So things were fixed the next day, the toilet arm still malfunctioned the rest of our visit.
