Jellystone Park Pelahatchie - Yogi On The Lake

To be fair, we stayed here in February and they were doing some maintenance on the pool area, but overall this place just didn't seem well cared for. The road leading to our site was deeply rutted and we bottomed out a couple times. The site boundaries weren't clearly marked as everything was covered in leaves and branches and at first we didn't think we had a sewer connection but it turned out it was just buried under mud and leaves. Our electric service didn't work either. When we called about it, the service was great and they sent someone out quickly who changed the breaker and plug...but while it worked initially, when we got back the next night it was off and it kept going off. We ended up running an extension cord to the unoccupied site next to us. In subsequent campgrounds we had no issues so we are certain it wasn't our equipment. The bathhouses (individual shower and toilet rooms) were clean, but most of the doors wouldn't shut or lock - seems they were maybe swollen from the weather? This place looks like it has great amenities for families and kids and maybe in the summer it's a lot more cleaned up, but that wasn't our experience at this time of year.
