I recently visited Round 1 in Albuquerque and wanted to share some feedback to help improve the experience. While the staff was generally available and easy to find, I noticed a few areas where there could be improvement. For instance, we found a large open pocket knife on the ground and turned it in, but the staff seemed to overlook the concern, which made me feel a bit uneasy. Another area that could use some attention is cleanliness. The floors were quite dirty, and there were no trash cans in the common areas for the games, which led to food and trash being left behind by other guests. As a customer, I ended up cleaning up my own space, but it would be great if the environment could be more consistently maintained. We also had a small issue with an air hockey table that ate up some of our points. While waiting for assistance, we chose to move to another station. When help arrived, the staff member didn't acknowledge we had moved and instead gave our paid play to a nearby group. While I understand that things can get busy, clearer communication would have made the situation more manageable. Afterward, we went to the front desk to ask for our points, and while the staff didn’t engage much at first, they eventually took our card and walked away for a while before returning it to us. A quick update on what was being done would’ve been appreciated, but overall, the issue was resolved. Having worked at GameWorks in Las Vegas, I understand how overwhelming arcade environments can be, especially in high-traffic locations. That said, I believe the main opportunity here lies with management focusing more on customer service and cleanliness. The staff seems capable but may need more guidance and support to improve the overall experience. With a bit more attention to service and upkeep, Round 1 could truly shine. I hope this feedback is helpful, and I look forward to seeing the improvements in the future!
