The Botanic Garden at Oklahoma State University (OSU) in Stillwater spans over 100 acres and is a key component of OSU's Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture. It provides a diverse range of horticultural displays, including: 1. Display Gardens: Featuring themed areas such as butterfly gardens, herb gardens, and ornamental grasses. 2. Research and Educational Programs: Offering opportunities for students and researchers to engage in plant science and environmental studies. 3. Demonstration Gardens: Showcasing sustainable gardening practices and new plant varieties. 4. Walking Trails: Providing scenic paths for visitors to enjoy the natural beauty and learn about different plant species. 5. Community Outreach: Hosting workshops, plant sales, and educational tours to promote gardening knowledge and environmental awareness. The garden also collaborates with local organizations to enhance community involvement and supports conservation efforts to preserve native plant species and ecosystems. When we visited in June, it was not looking attractive as there were few flowers and the plants looked dried up. So we took only half an hour to finish. Timing is from 6 AM to 8 PM.
