Alton Baker Park

Alton Baker and Pre’s Trails are a Eugene highlight. Whether you’re looking for paved paths or soft surface, this is a great spot for a run or for a running workout. People are super attuned to others getting workouts in, and you never know who you might see out there logging some miles. If you run Day Island Road from the main parking lot, out past the community garden, there are markers painted every 400m to help with measured workouts. The only bathrooms in the park are in the main lot, so plan accordingly.
