My son and I love this mall for so many reasons: 1) North Star Botique. They have some of the best stock. They have $5 earrings, to native tapestries, as well as various candy that's made locally, and our favorite Fogulpops! My son loves the figures that range from $7-$18. Personally, I'm into collectibles, and they offer an AMAZING variety of very collectible Fogulpops. I buy at least 2 or 3 per month. Plus, best of all, the people who work there are amazing. They always have something for the kids, whether it's free coloring books or whatever. 2) Asylum Minigolf & Arcade. The owner, Scott, is a great person. My son and I usually go in every Sunday, but now that Scott has made the games half price on Wednesdays as long as the game doesn't dispense prizes or toys, we've started going in on Wednesdays also. The arcade is always looking for new creative and fun ideas, not just for kids but for all ages, and they do a number of events, for example, Halloween. I have fun going into the arcade and playing the punching bag game and a couple of the shooting games they have. 3) I used to take my son to Village Day Care until I started working from home. It's a family owned and operated daycare that has a classroom setting, as well as an outdoor park, and a very large indoor soccer field. Then, in the summer, they take the kids to Pony Village Cinema for children's movies, plus they have great hours. "Mr. C" The main contact there is such a great guy. He's clearly there to cover his costs, but he's also a very reasonable person to work with when it comes to payment arrangements. 3) The Escape Room. Another place we love. The staff is very nice and full of information. My son is 6, and of course, I want him to have fun, so he asks the questions, and the staff is very good at responding to him and clarifying things. Sometimes we're in there for 20 minutes, sometimes the full hour, but the staff never has a problem letting us out early. 4) Boom Dance Studio. My son has been going to this studio for about 3 years. He has learned a lot and really developed through his time there. He absolutely loves it, which is the most important thing to me. But I have seen his self-confidence increase, as well as his physical skills such as balance and coordination, and he's even a little more outgoing than when he started. The instructors are awesome, including the volunteers. Then, every season, they have a dance showcase for all of the different levels. Of course, all of the kids love these. I highly recommend this place for any dancer. This mall has clearly chosen very good businesses, not just in terms of financial revenue, but in helping to set the standard and backbone for our communities through local business incentives. Thank you, Pony Village Mall and all of the store owners and employees.
Aging local mall that somehow still finds relevance in the community. The bathrooms are a little anxiety inducing. I’m impressed with the variety of ways in which the community continues to use the mall building spaces for things other than traditional shopping. Mixed together with department stores and restaurants are dog training and a sports complex. Occasionally there are some unusual characters hanging around inside, but for the most part it’s pretty okay and filling a shopping and gathering need in the community.
