Large park, almost like a little town so there was always something going on. Friendly and helpful staff. My septic connection was very close to the road which made it hard to get close enough to without putting my rig on the road. The campgrounds were about 15 - 20 minutes to the park entrance. It was in the middle of nowhere, which is great or a challenge depending on your needs. The dark sky made star viewing great.
Fantastic location for exploring Badlands! Roomy site, level and lots of shade! Pool was very refreshing after a hot day of exploring. Cook shack makes a great burger and breakfast! Friendly staff, escort and maintenance crew. Highly recommend! Also Cowboy Corner Convenience down the road carries everything you might need including gas and daily specials.
