I have been going to the Benbrook driving range in par 3 course since the mid-1990s. It's a great place to practice and play and bring the entire family for fun. If the kids aren't into golf as much they have batting cages and miniature golf to help occupy their time and have some family fun. Debbie and Terri are leaders in the community I am proud to call them great friends for many many decades. We have something special planned regarding a Guinness World Record coming up and we would like to involve the citizens and businesses of Benbrook to participate along with the Benbrook Chamber of Commerce. I really enjoyed my last trip to this course mostly because it wasn't very busy and we could hit a few shots to work on our short game. I never had anyone complain when I took forever to look for my nice new balls but we also paid to play around twice. It's a no frills course that's cheap and easy to practice on. Tee area was very dry to the point we stopped teeing up and just hit off the grass. To that point, ground was hard enough, we definitely felt it after 9 and we aren't old farts. That said, nothing really hazardous out there aside from thicker weeds around the fairways. Greens were a bit rough on several holes but useable. Probably the least maintained course I've played, but for the price, no regrets. I'd have given 4 stars if they served beer. :-) Even though is made a reservation, it really isn't needed. Locals come out to meet and greet, play scrambles and relax a bit. Worth the 30 minute drive. About a 2 hour total play at a mid to slow pace.
