The Park RVA

Went for the first time this month and it was really fun! The place is a sprawling area with lots of activities, bars and food. We started with a drink while waiting for mini golf to begin (delayed due to lack of people returning the golf balls - there should be a better system I think) and also signed up for duckpin bowling. The bar is full-service as well as a wall of beer to choose from! It’s a good deal (less than $8 a pint) and there’s about 20 drafts to choose from ranging from a cider, sours, IPA, stout, Belgian whites etc. Bartenders are all efficient & friendly! We got a text when the mini golf was ready and we were able to proceed back to the game. The holes are a bit tricky but still very fun :) Insta-worthy lighting and props along the way for some fun photos. We got through the first 9 holes & then our bowling time was ready so we paused & bowled 2 games ($7ea) then returned to finish the back 9 holes. Reminder - it’s duckpin! Super fun. 🎳 Ordered food and more drinks at the main bar and decided to do some karaoke & we were the only ones in there! The big TV doesn’t hook up to the words - so I think some tech support could be warranted - but it was still fun. All of our food was delicious and reasonably priced (we ordered various burgers and sandwiches). Around 10pm a club opened up ($20 to enter!) and also 2 more DJs in the front and back of the space. We stayed and danced about an hour and then left. Note - they charge a 20% auto-gratuity so pay attention to the check. I did not, so the bartenders got 40% from me :) It will also bill you some $10 holds, which clear after a couple days, so your bank account looks a bit wonky but fear not. Overall, this is a fun place for parties, dates & families all around! I would definitely come back.
