Reviews
We were at Sun Outdoors Cape Charles the second week of July 24’. This was our second year coming back. We rented one of the cabins and the whole experience was top notch. Staff is friendly, the atmosphere is amazing and the entire time was just a blast. They offered karaoke and live music on the weekends, candy bingo during the week, coloring contest, fun events at the pools & art den. We will be booking for the 25’ season! Can’t wait to get back there and continue our yearly backs with Sun Outdoors Cape Charles
This place has gone downhill since Sun Outdoors took over. The cabin was dirty and full of fruit flies. Only 1 jumping pillow is left and it remained closed the entire weekend. Some kids in our group were playing with a ball that got over the fence and since it was locked, they climbed over to get it. Immediately were yelled at by staff (made one kid cry) and then yelled at the parents for not watching, even though this kids parents were in eye distance. I think we were targeted because the entire place was EMPTY! What I found to be strange, not one single RV spot and very few cabins were taken. This was a prime fall weekend. We've been coming here for around 8 years annually (maybe longer!) with a group that takes up anywhere from 10-16 cabins and RV spots. It's always packed - so much going on. Lots of people, kids everywhere - it's a whole vibe. This trip was empty. It was strange. We've never seen so few people there. On our way back to the bridge we passed the KOA. This campground was full of people. You have to ask yourself why this location was a ghost town. I think we know. We won't be coming back.
